云台山世界地质公园

焦作云台山世界地质公园位于太行山南麓，河南省焦作市北部，面积约556平方千米，是一处以裂谷构造、水动力作用和地质地貌景观为主，以自然生态和人文景观为辅，集科学与美学一身的综合型地质公园。

公园分为云台山、神农山、青龙峡、峰林峡和青天河五个园区。云台山悬泉飞瀑、青龙峡深谷悠涧、峰林峡石墙出缩，青天河碧水连天、神农山龙脊长城，共同构成一幅山清水秀、北国江南的锦绣画卷。置身其中，流连忘返。

公园由一系列具有特殊科学意义和美学价值、能够代表本地区地质历史和地质作用的地质遗迹组成。在裂谷作用大背景下形成的“云台山地貌”，是新构造运动的典型遗迹，是中国地貌家庭中的新成员。在长期处于构造稳定状态的华北古陆核上，发育了一套相对完整且具代表性的地台型沉积，完整地保存了中元古代、古生代海洋环境，尤其是陆表海环境的沉积遗迹。特殊的大地构造位置形成了独特的水动力条件，造就了公园特有的地理地貌特征，使其兼具北方之雄浑、江南之灵秀，并成为中国特殊植被的北届和最高纬度的猕猴保护区。

2003年5月，焦作市国土资源局根据市委市政府工作部署，开始申报世界地质公园工作，将神农山、青天河、峰林峡、青龙峡、云台山五个园区组合成一体申报世界地质公园，在最短时间内，完成了野外考察、资料收集制作及材料上报工作；2003年7月7日的北京评审推荐会上，焦作云台山以103.85的高分，排列在黄山、庐山之后位居第三，并于2003年11月14日通过联合国教科文组织验收，2004年2月13日，在法国巴黎召开的联合国教科文组织世界地质公园评审大会上，被联合国批准成为首批世界地质公园。

四大怀药

四大怀药，是指地黄、山药 、牛膝、菊花，盛产于黄河北岸的温县、武陟、博爱、孟州、沁阳等县（市）。在明朝，因这一地区属怀庆府管辖，故称“四大怀药”。

“四大怀药”在焦作地区具有悠久的种植和药用历史。据《本草纲目》记载，地黄在孟州市已有1000多年历史。山药古称“薯芋”，具有甘寒入脾、润血归肺、养胃健脾、止泻固精、滋阴壮阳、除寒热邪气、补心血不足等功能，是一种较好的滋补药。地黄又名“地髓”，块大、油性大，是治病营养的好药。牛膝，因其基部有节似牛膝而名，具有利尿、强精、通精之功效。菊花，干、叶、茎、根、花都可入药，性微寒，味甘苦，具有杀菌消毒、清热、解渴、平肝明目等功效，且含有丰富的菊花色素、维生素A、B和氨基酸以及大量的挥发油，有味浓、煎煮不败的特点。

交通： 到达景区交通

从河南郑州、洛阳，河北石家庄，山西太原，陕西西安，湖北武汉，山东济南，北京等方向到达焦作或者是修武后，可以在这两个地方转车去云台山。

航空

外地游客可乘飞机到郑州新郑机场、洛阳，然后再转乘汽车来焦作，亦可乘坐火车直达焦作、修武。

火车

从北京、济南（沿泰安、菏泽）、太原、连云港、徐州、重庆、南阳均有直达焦作的火车。外地旅游者也可乘坐火车到达郑州、洛阳、开封、新乡，然后再转乘汽车来焦作。

汽车

山西晋城、郑州、新乡、开封、安阳均有高速公路可以直达焦作，游客到达焦作后，从焦作市或是焦作修武坐转旅游车即可到达云台山；若乘长途汽车，在焦作市、修武县汽车站转旅游车即到。

西安到焦作有汽车，在火车站西面的汽车站，约6个小时到焦作。

山东菏泽，江苏徐州可乘长途车在郑州或新乡下，坐大巴到焦作，郑州段为高速，新乡段为二级公路，路况都很好。

自驾车

云台山地处中原地带，交通十分便利，四通八达，各地道路交通状况良好，喜爱自驾车的旅游者可以自己开车到达云台山。

从北京开车6到8个小时到达景区。从北京直接前往云台山可参考如下路线：

六里桥上京石高速，河北收费站缴费15元。

石家庄南收费站缴费60元上石 ( 家庄 ) ———安 ( 阳 ) 高速。

临漳收费站缴费60元，上安 ( 阳 ) ———新 ( 乡 ) 高速。

从新乡下高速后走获嘉、修武上云台山。

摩托车

可以从洛阳骑摩托车直接到达景区山门，共需要5个小时的时间，为了安全起见，进入景区内游览请换乘景区旅游观光车，票价为往返8元。

从焦作到达云台山

焦作距离云台山约30公里的路程，可以坐旅游车(delica)，每人大约8元钱，在旅游旺季每半小时一趟，行驶时间大约30分钟；或者坐三路车到方庄然后打车上山，人多打车上山更方便一些，从焦作打车直接上山大约35到40元。
